Southwest Transplant Alliance's volunteer program was created to help STA promote
organ and tissue donation, and encourage family discussions surrounding this critical issue.

The main goal of the program is to provide the public with facts about organ/tissue
donation and transplantation in order to encourage individuals to make informed decisions
and to have family discussions regarding donation.

Events
Volunteers can help STA promote donation at events created to focus attention on the
issue. Most volunteer jobs at donor awareness events involve answering general questions
and sharing personal experiences.

support group meetings. While STA's volunteer program is not a support
group, STA does work with many of these support groups and can provide
information about them.
