Receptionist

General Statement (Summary of duties & responsibilities): The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for any onsite guests or anyone contacting the organization via phone. The Receptionist is responsible for handling front office reception and
administration duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and
sorting and distributing mail.

Education & Work Experience Qualifications:
1. High School diploma, some college preferred.
2. Minimum one-year experience as a Receptionist.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and reception desk systems.
4. Excellent communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all
levels of personnel and to represent the organization publicly.
5. Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
7. Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload.
8. Ability to travel in light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto to meet all job duties and
responsibilities.


Essential Job Functions:
1. Serves as STA’s Receptionist performing general front desk daily duties:
a) Promptly answers, screens, and directs incoming phone calls and doorbells.
b) Greets and assists guests. Responds to the needs of guests in Taylor’s Place.
c) Maintains workplace security by following health and safety procedures and controlling access.
Manages visitor badges and log.
d) Always monitors building access through security systems during business hours.
e) Ensures the reception area is orderly and presentable.
f) Updates and maintains the Reception desk procedure manual.
2. Receives, sorts, and distributes STA mail daily.
3. Distributes birthday and anniversary cards to STA staff monthly.
4. Provides administrative support as directed by department leadership.
5. Other duties as assigned.


NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
(These "non-essential job functions" represent job functions which the incumbent is responsible for
performing. However, if necessary, these job functions could be performed by other personnel.)


PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT / WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment. Work is performed in the Dallas office. Is required to use his / her private auto
for job related ground transportation. Organization reimbursement for personal auto use while on the job
is consistent with IRS & STA guidelines
