Our Commitment

Southwest Transplant Alliance ("STA," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the integrity of email communications and complying with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and all applicable anti-spam laws and regulations. We do not tolerate the use of our systems, domains, or brand to send unsolicited, deceptive, or unwanted bulk email ("spam").

What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to all email communications sent from any @organ.org email address or on behalf of Southwest Transplant Alliance, including newsletters, donor communications, event invitations, and organizational correspondence.

Our Practices

In all email communications, we commit to:

  • Honest identification. Never using false or misleading header information, sender names, or subject lines.

  • Accurate sender information. Clearly identifying Southwest Transplant Alliance as the sender, including our valid physical postal address.

  • Consent-based sending. Only sending email to individuals who have opted in, have an existing relationship with our organization, or have otherwise provided a valid business or donor contact reason to receive communications from us.

  • Easy opt-out. Including a clear and conspicuous way to unsubscribe or opt out of future communications in every email, and honoring opt-out requests promptly (within 10 business days, per CAN-SPAM requirements).

  • No harvested or purchased lists. Never using harvested, purchased, or rented email lists to send unsolicited bulk email.

  • No deceptive content. Ensuring subject lines accurately reflect the content of the message and that emails are not used to distribute deceptive or fraudulent content.

Reporting Suspected Abuse

If you believe you have received spam, phishing attempts, or other abusive email that appears to originate from organ.org, or if you have concerns about an email claiming to represent Southwest Transplant Alliance, please contact us so we can investigate:

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Confirmed violations of this policy by staff, vendors, or partners acting on our behalf will result in corrective action, which may include termination of the sending relationship.

Third-Party Vendors

Any third-party email service providers or vendors sending email on behalf of Southwest Transplant Alliance are contractually required to comply with this Anti-Spam Policy and all applicable anti-spam laws.

We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in law or our practices. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
