Student Advocate Program

 
 

Equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to raise community awareness about the lifesaving gifts of organ, eye and tissue donation.

Student Benefits:

  • Lead a Donate Life Student Advocacy Chapter to raise awareness about organ donation.

  • Host donor registration drives and fundraisers to further make an impact in your community.

  • Earn community service hours for active participation at local events and advocacy iniatives.

  • Develop leadership skills through SODA’s Leadership Development Course.

  • Early registration access to STA’s summer Student Residency Program.

Organ donation is a powerful way to leave a legacy. It saves lives and brings hope to grieving families and those awaiting a lifesaving transplant. The 1st Annual Southwest Transplant Alliance Youth Art Competition invited youth to create an original piece representing what it means to “Leave a Legacy”.

Please join us in congratulating our 2026 winners:

🥇 1st Place – Sathvika, 10th grader at Rock Hill High School
🥈 2nd Place – Carys, 11th grader at Bishop Dunne Catholic School
🥉 3rd Place – Adisa, 12th grader at Newman Smith High School

Student Residency Program

STA’s Student Residency Program provides high school and incoming college students with an immersive opportunity to explore careers in healthcare and learn more about our lifesaving mission. Through connections with frontline teams, tours of our state-of-the-art Legacy Center, and hands-on experiences, students gain valuable insight into the healthcare field and the many roles that contribute to making HOPE happen. The program helps inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders while giving students a meaningful look at the people, teamwork, and dedication behind STA’s mission.
