Southwest Transplant Alliance Welcomes Scott Bennett as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

DALLAS – At a time when the need for organ and tissue donation continues to grow across Texas, Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA) announces Scott Bennett as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Bennett joins the nonprofit ready to build upon its strong operational foundations, drive greater consistency across all service lines and ensure more patients receive the lifesaving transplants they’re waiting for.

In his new capacity, Bennett will oversee STA's core operational functions, including clinical and surgical services, tissue operations, laboratory services, family services, referral management, logistics, and allocation. He will guide performance advancement, drive accountability across teams and ensure the organization maintains the highest standards of quality and safety while navigating the ever-evolving donation and transplantation landscape.

"Scott Bennett brings to STA exceptional operational expertise and a deep commitment to serving the donation and transplantation community," said Brad Adams, President and CEO at STA. "We are confident his experience will strengthen STA's mission and expand the lifesaving impact of organ and tissue donation across our communities."

Bennett brings 25 years of academic medical center experience as well as nearly two decades of leadership in transplant operations to this new role. Most recently, Bennett served as Associate Vice President of Solid Organ Transplant at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His data-driven leadership helped guide large teams and complex operations. He currently serves both as President of the Texas Transplantation Society and on the Board of Directors for Taylor’s Gift Foundation.

"It is a privilege to join an organization driven by such a profound and lifesaving mission," Bennett said. "Operational excellence and collaboration are critical to advancing STA's goals, and I look forward to leading these important efforts. I'm excited to help strengthen our operations, support our dedicated teams, and champion a future where even more lives are transformed through donation."
