Jade Barnes

Director, Advanced Practice Provider

Jade Barnes is the Director of Advanced Practice Providers. In her role, Jade provides clinical oversight and strategic direction for STA’s organ recovery efforts. She oversees the organization’s Advanced Practice Providers and works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to align clinical operations with organizational goals and internal and external regulatory requirements. 

She brings a strong clinical perspective to her leadership role, shaped by her previous experience as an Advanced Practice Provider at STA and her background as a nurse practitioner in surgical/trauma and cardiothoracic/transplant intensive care. She is committed to honoring the gift of donation, supporting donor families, and strengthening collaboration across healthcare teams to save and heal lives. 

Beyond her work at STA, Jade serves as Allied Health Chair on the Texas Transplantation Society Board and as an item writer for the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) board certification exam. She also serves as Webinar Faculty for The Alliance.

Jade holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care.
